Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a musical family. When she was a kid, she listened to lots of classical music and traditional boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos as well the dramatic and opera performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her, she started more serious singing lessons at the age of 16 under the guidance by renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca in Toluca at the School of Sacred Music. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was a member of many opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She performs solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She is involved with many local organizations and is a teacher and performer because of her passion for music and arts. Ana has been a participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana thanks the Inland Master Chorale for the permission to sing traditional Latin American song.
