Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. After moving to Oxfordshire when she was five, she enrolled in The Dragon School. Emma was inspired to become an actor at age six. Through the years she was enrolled in the Oxford branch Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. In the school, she was taught singing dance, acting and singing. At the age of ten the actress took part in and played the leading role in numerous Stagecoach productions as well as school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone, the 2001 film adaption to J.K. Rowling's bestselling book was filmed in 1999. Emma was spotted by Emma's Oxford Theatre instructor. David Heyman announced to Emma that following eight auditions Emma as well as Rupert Grint were chosen as Hermione and Harry Potter. Emma's debut film appearance came as a part of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. The highest-grossing movie of 2001 The film broke records for its debut day opening and opening weekend takings. The film was praised by critics and its performances by the three leading actors of the young generation. The Daily Telegraph, an influential British newspaper, called Emma's acting "amazing". Emma won the Young Artist Award as the leading young actress in a feature Film. She was later recognized five times in recognition of her role in the movie.
